From October 23 to November 10, the Nuance Gallery is pleased to invite you to the exhibition of Nina and Ivo Petrovs. People of other decade and steady over time just like the characters and subjects that are the subject of their painting. Past and future are intertwined in their work. Nina defines her style as retro pop art and finds the greatest inspiration in posters from the 1920s. In her paintings, retro is a feeling. With Ivo, retro is a story. The plot was told to him by a progressive gallerist in Barcelona in 2005. Ivo works in the field of figurative painting. In his works there is a secession, there is a style and etiquette from the 20s, every position of the body, every frozen gesture and every look from a character in the picture carries you in a past moment that the viewer can afford. Another lifestyle and a different sense of life. Drinking good coffee as a ritual. Jazz music is like a mess of chaos. The seashore as a catwalk. An age of upswing and optimism, the fall of taboos, new technologies and emancipation. You will end up in the Golden Age. This exhibition is enchanting with style, beauty and progress. Be delight. It infects with an optimistic mood and a pleasant carelessness. Nina and Ivo are more than a tandem. Classmates at the Tryavna Applied School, fellows at the Faculty of Arts at Veliko Turnovo University, life partners and creative duo.
