Gergana Minkova
“Equilibrium”
oil painting
May 14 – June 2, 2024
Gallery “Nuance” invites you to the exhibition of the talented artist Gergana Minkova, known for her inspiring works exploring the connection between reality and imagination.
With a focus on the line dividing the sky and the earth, she expresses the beauty of transition and the power of life. The exhibition reveals the artist’s quests and hesitations, inspired by the simplicity and contradictions of existence. For her exhibition, Gergana shares:
“I love to look at the horizon of the mountain, that line that crosses and separates the sky from the earth. I outline it with my gaze, it acts soothingly on me. I discover this line in what I depict. I accept the tension between the real and the imaginary that it separates, the truth in experience. I see how fragile and temporary everything is, and at the same time so powerful and endless. I always want to discover the ‘simplicity’ in life and in painting. In this exhibition, I present these quests and thoughts of mine – imperfect, unfinished, fluctuating, just like me. I accept my need to improvise, to doubt, to be in balance.”
“Equilibrium” is a key word in the creativity of Gergana Minkova, who transports us into the world of balance between fragility and power, temporality and infinity. Her works are quests for “simplicity” in every moment and every line.
The exhibition presents the latest works of Gergana Minkova, inviting us to immerse ourselves in the harmony of her world. In the exposition, Gergana combines her artistic technique with skillful sewing on the canvas, stitching delicate pieces of linen to rough pieces of hemp, then assembling them, creating thematic compositions embodying equilibrium.
